February 4, 2021 by Jennifer Keegan

It’s February & Valentine’s Day is around the corner! We know that you show your kids how loved they are every day, but we have a few ways to make Valentine’s day extra special for them. Our favorite way to make memories around here is to bring the kids into the kitchen. So roll up your sleeves and get your aprons ready. It’s time for an all day cook off!

Breakfast Treats You Can Make With Your Children

Wake up and get ready to roll out the love with these sweet treats for breakfast!

Cinnamon roll hearts Add red food coloring or beet juice to make your frosting red.

Red Velvet Pancakes Feeling creative? Use a cookie cutter to make these heart shaped pancakes.

Add Some Love to Your Family’s Lunch

Order a heart shaped pizza from your local pizza shop. Or get everyone in the kitchen and make your own! Try this recipe for one whole pizza or this one for mini pizzas so each person can choose their toppings!

Super full from lunch? Get moving with some Family Valentine’s day yoga!

Take it Easy for Family Dinner Time

Find Heart shaped raviolis at your local grocery store and throw them in some pasta sauce. We heard Trader joes and Costco have them, but don’t forget to check your local Italian market too!

Still feeling like cooking with the kids? Great! Try these heart shaped burgers. This recipe can be made to fit any family’s dietary needs, switch the beef for lentils and make the cheese dairy free for vegan. For Gluten free, switch out your bread.

Enjoy Sweet Treats for Dessert

Now it’s time for everyone’s favorite part of dinner, Dessert! But first, don’t forget to go around the table and say one thing you love about each other or your family.
