Outdoor Family Fun at Long Island Farms

There’s nothing like visiting a farm on Long Island in the fall. It’s the one thing that can feel “normal” right now because most activities are outdoors. Get outside, pick some fruit and pet some animals!

Waterdrinker Farm

Waterdrinker Farm has a sunflower festival and a family adventure farm. They are open for jump pad, animal adventures, mini golf and more. Set your compass to head out east and spend a day in the sun, or sunflowers! Check website for days and times.

Brightwaters Farms

Tucked away in Bay Shore, this local treasure is a small, local farm that allows your child to pick a pumpkin, play with animals and play on the playground. The farm is open Wednesday – Friday 11 am to 5 pm, Saturday/Sunday & Columbus Day 9 am to 5 pm through the end of October. Days and times are subject to change, please confirm.

Long Island Game Farm

The Game Farm is open through the end of October but it’s an outdoor experience so it is weather pending. After you visit their website for tickets you can explore the outdoor park, feed the baby animals and walk through the deer park.  There are also a few learning experiences available. Please remember to practice social distancing and try to avoid touching surfaces if possible. Days and times are subject to change, please confirm.

Petting Farm Zoo Manorville

The Petting Farm is a non-profit and all outdoor experiences are open.  Weather pending the parks hours are 11 am -5 pm every day. Days and times are subject to change, please confirm.

Brenner’s has tons of workshops and events for kids from farming and planting to yoga. All events and classes must be booked ahead on their website. You can arrange a family farm tour or hayride daily at noon, 12:30, 1:15, 1:45, 2:30 and 3 pm. Visit their website for more information! Days and times are subject to change, please confirm.
