Fun Educational Activities

With summer winding down it’s important to keep the kids engaged. We’ve had a challenging year and learning experiences have been difficult to come by. Check out these open experiences to expand your mind and sense of adventure.

Water-Based Activities for Kids on Long Island

The Long Island Aquarium is fully open and back to business. They have a jam-packed schedule of fun to experience daily from 10-4. Due to state regulations and social distancing, You must book your time slot ahead on their website.

The Whaling Museum of Cold Spring Harbor is open and running exhibits and tours daily. You must book your seaside adventure in advance. You can head over to their website to check times available. If you can’t make an adventure in person, there are virtual experiences available all summer long!

A Museum Just for Children on Long Island

The Children’s Museum of the East End is open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3pm to 5pm. Reservations are required. Check their website to make a reservation to visit and play.

Activities for Children on Long Island

Bayville Adventure is open to the public for most of their outdoor activities and cafes. They are also offering drive in movies and dinner! Plan a day of adventure then relax with a drive in dinner or a trip to one of their eateries. Outdoor activities include Mini golf, rock climbing, bumper boats and more!  Head over to their site for more information and tickets!

Waterdrinker Farm has a sunflower festival and a family adventure farm. They are open 10-5 for jump pad, animal adventures, mini golf and more. Set your compass to head out east and spend a day in the sun, or sunflowers!

Your Children Can Explore the Skies Above Long Island

Cradle of Aviation is open at 25% capacity and is taking all the proper precautions to keep your family safe. You can visit their website for information on what experiences and exhibits are available for your aerospace adventure! The museum is open Thursday – Sunday 10-4. If those times don’t work for you or you’re not comfortable heading out yet, you can also do a virtual museum tour.

Fun, Educational Activities Are Open for Kids of All Ages on Long Island 

So no matter where you are on Long Island there’s something for everyone to do. Get outside, pick your adventure and go play!
