Ages 4+ Free with admission, Workshop
For the month of November, the AdvoKids series focuses on Veterans Day. During this program visitors will gain a better understanding of why this day is celebrated every year! Learn about U.S. Army Veteran Lt. Col. Alexander Augusta, a pioneering doctor and the highest ranking African American officer of the Civil War. Visitors will create a “Thank you for your Service” card for a veteran in their life.
“AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
This is a drop-in program, free with admission.
