- Bring outdoor play inside
With a little adaptation for Indoors, most outdoor activities can be played inside as well! Create a fort out of blankets and chairs, or build an indoor obstacle course using crepe paper and masking tape.

Kids of all ages love the challenge of treasure or scavenger hunts. Try a good old-fashioned game of Hide and Seek for younger kids.
- Host a Fancy Tea Party
Why not put together an extravagant tea party in the comfort of your own house? Choose a time, a menu, and decide to dress up in your finest attire. Encourage your children to use their best manners, and enjoy role-playing together!
- Design a Family Book
Sit down with your children and make a scrapbook or family cookbook. Record your favorite memories, recipes, or photos. Younger children will enjoy decorating or drawing pictures on some of the pages. Be sure to date any creations they make!
- Get Crafty
Make houses out of shoeboxes, or put down newspaper and finger paint with your kids! Nearly anything can become a craft project if you use your imagination. Let your children take a look around the house and see what ideas they can come up with.

Have your child grab some of his or her favorite books, and take turns reading them aloud. At the end of each story, have them come up with an alternate ending. For older children, try discussing possible ways to combine two stories together as an added challenge!
- Get Wet Outside, Anyway!
If you’re feeling up to it, and it is warm enough, go play in the rain! Put on your raincoat and boots, and go exploring. Take note of the different insects and plants you notice in the rain, and don’t be afraid to jump in some puddles!
